The Sustainable Supply Chain DApp is developed to measure the environmental and social performance of the supply chain. The information system is designed to collect data from supply chain actors, assess their environmental and social sustainability and transfer them to the relevant stakeholders for decision-making processes. At the same time, the blockchain system can be used to prove the origin of the products, track and trace the product journey throughout the supply chain and measure the product lifecycle inventory.
As I develop the Sustainable Supply Chain DApp, I face various challenges that require careful attention. Collecting reliable data from different supply chain actors is a complex task, as I need their cooperation and trust. Validating the data for accuracy is another challenge I must overcome, ensuring consistency throughout the supply chain.
Integrating the DApp with existing supply chain systems is not an easy feat due to different technologies and formats. Protecting sensitive data is of utmost importance to me, so I implement strong security measures and comply with privacy regulations like GDPR.
Encouraging participation from supply chain actors is a key focus for me. I communicate the benefits of the DApp, such as improved visibility and access to new markets. Scaling the DApp to handle increasing transactions and data is a challenge I tackle head-on, exploring innovative solutions to ensure efficiency.
Promoting awareness and educating stakeholders about sustainability is vital to the success of my DApp. I provide training and resources to help stakeholders understand the value of sustainable practices. Collaborating with experts and industry associations enhances my credibility and expands the reach of my educational efforts.
