We at Surakshak tried to understand the grass root problem which senior citizens face and after brainstorming on the problem we came up with the following features:
In case of any emergencies the user can directly fire an SOS button on the home screen of the application which will lead to an immediate whatsapp message being send to all the volunteers as well as nearby hospitals in severe cases.
Users can easily uplod a photo of the medicine along with a few details of all the medicines which they have to take and we will remind them at that exact time to take their medicines by sending them a whatsapp message.
Also in most of the cases senior citizens are suggested to measure details such as blood pressure and pulse on daily basis. So we have provided an interface where the user/volunteer can enter the daily details and it will stored and the same data will be shared with his/her family doctor so that the doctor can monitor it on frequent basis and can detect if anything's wrong by observing the data.
The application also provides an interface where all the local events are displayed and it'll help the users to find appropriate event to go and have an enjoyable time. The main aim is to provide opportunities for the users to enjoy their life and live it to the fullest.
Senior citizens are also advised to practice yoga to help their lifestyle and so to support them we have made an interface in which the user can perform a few positions of yoga and the model will detect using the live camera that whether they are performing it correctly or not.
Above all the application is multilingual and also supports voice assistant and consists of very user friendly and easy to use interface.
Apart from this the Surakshak project also consists of web interface which handles the registration and logins of all the different users.

Integrating the whatsapp message feature consisted of complicated steps but we managed it using twilio.
Also, integrating voice assistant for chatbot in the application was a major task.
For training accurate model we required a proper dataset which was difficult to find.
