Challenges we ran into
Challenges We Ran Into
One of the main hurdles we faced was related to graphing the price data for token pools created on the platform. Unlike established blockchains like Ethereum or Solana, which have services like Infura to assist with indexing and data retrieval, Supra is a newer blockchain and doesn’t yet offer similar infrastructure.
To overcome this, we were fortunate to connect with a developer who had already built a contract listener using fetch. This solution enabled us to listen to contract events, index them in our database, and successfully retrieve the data needed to graph token pool prices.
Additionally, we leveraged WebSocket (WSS) connections for contract event listening and the Supra SDK for wallet integrations. This allowed us to build a seamless user experience despite the initial challenges.
