During Covid-19 patients were either made to quarantine themselves at home or taken to hospitals. To monitor those who are in home quarantine a web application is developed
The problem Superintend-Self-Quarantine solves
In the pandemic people were scared of consulting hospitals due to this many end their life so to monitor the self quarantine paitent . We designed a portal between hospital and people. Here their first aid check up will be taken every single day. If the health is getting worst they can be taken to hospital at the right time.
Basic Information given in the portal:
- Body temperature
- Symptoms such as taste , smell, cough,fever etc..
People have to update the health status thrice a day. Also get alarm to clean the house twice a day. In this manner we can able stop the spread of covid.
We have feature to get prescription from doctor so that we can avoid people to take unwanted medicine.
Video calling option given to the user so that they can contact doctor through it also doctor visually see the paitent and understand his health status. Interaction between doctor and user can make mentally healthy so that they will not get scared of the virus and have good mental health.
Also Covid test slot booking feature is been given so that they can easily book the slot . Here important thing is hospitals can alot a slot when there is no crowd in the hospital so that even if the person coming for test is affected it wont spread to others.
Challenges we ran into
It was hard to find a open source library to make video calls. After exploring many video calling library we got openvidu which is open source which is working with WEBRTC protocol.
