The problem SuiPay solves

Merchants who want to accept digital asset payments often face complex payment flows and a lack of simple tools for managing on-chain payments. SuiPay solves this by providing a simple merchant-focused payment system built on Sui. Merchants can create payment requests, customers can pay directly using their Sui wallets, and transactions can be verified on-chain.

Challenges we ran into

A key challenge was integrating Sui wallet functionality and handling on-chain transactions correctly in our Next.js application. We had to learn how to work with the Sui SDK, construct transactions, and handle asynchronous transaction states.

We overcame these challenges through iterative testing on Sui Testnet, checking transaction results on-chain, and refining the payment flow to ensure the UI correctly reflected the transaction status.
