We have developed a virtual try-on project where users can upload their image along with the product image, which is then overlaid onto the user's body. This allows users to visualize the product.

The problem StyleSpectrum solves

In the past, the conventional approach to shopping for clothes involved purchasing items and then trying them on, leading to instances where the product that looked appealing on the model didn't necessarily fit the buyer well. Recognizing this common challenge, we embarked on the development of a virtual try-on project. Our aim is to offer users an innovative solution that bridges the gap between online shopping and the traditional in-store experience.

With our virtual try-on platform, users can upload their own images and virtually try on various outfits before making a purchase. This empowers them to make more informed decisions about sizing, style, and overall fit, ultimately reducing the likelihood of returns and exchanges.

Challenges we ran into

Navigating the integration of OpenCV and MediaPipe for body recognition and overlaying presented a significant challenge, especially considering our team's unfamiliarity with these Python libraries. However, through persistent support from our team members and effective coordination, we managed to overcome this hurdle with grace.

Nevertheless, the most formidable aspect of the project remains the deployment phase, which continues to pose ongoing challenges. Despite the complexities involved, we are diligently working to address deployment issues and ensure the seamless delivery of our virtual try-on solution to users. With determination and collaborative effort, we are confident in our ability to successfully tackle this final hurdle and bring our project to fruition.
