It is a portal to ease the work of a student. A one-in-all place for a student or any user to get everything done and move to the top.
The problem Student Study Portal solves
The project aims to ease the work of students. Instead of visiting several sites, 'The Study Portal' is a one-stop solution for it. Containing several features and a user-friendly UI.
The problem we focused on:
As a student, we usually log in to many sites, open wikis simultaneously, watch videos on some other tab and the browser gets filled with all the unnecessary tabs.
Special feature:
Students usually delete many notes just to realize that they need them later. To solve that we are providing a backup for the deleted notes and sending it to the registered email. So that even the deleted ones can be retrieved.
How it solved the problem:
The student portal can bring all the tabs to a single site. From a to-do list to getting youtube videos and making notes, everything will be saved in one place. With a fully flexible authentication system (We call it FFAS😆).
Challenges we ran into
We ran into a lot of challenges and problems during the development.
- Merging the frontend part with the Django backend was messy
- Due to lack of time we had to rush up our work (Time management was a huge problem)
- CSS was troublesome.
- Trying hit and trails
- Making the site responsive was also one of the great issues.
How we solved it?
- We solved the CSS issues with Bootstrap.
- The responsiveness is done for the main pages using bootstrap
- Made a lot of errors while developing and deploying, got over with some hit and trails.
