Currently all the streaming platforms have full custody of any creator and artist’s content and they can remove and dehost it any time. Also if users want to reward and monetarily help their users they can do so without the centralized authority getting a cut. But if they want to watch them live when they stream, they would have to subscribe to them by creating CFA(Constant Flow Agreement).
StreamHub allows creators to stream their content and get rewarded from their loyal followers for whom they create value. StreamHub allows you to
• Creators/Artists can stream from anywhere, anytime in just 2 clicks, compatible with any streaming software.
• Users Can watch any ongoing stream from anywhere.
• Record their streams and publish them to be watched later on the platform
• Creators can also uploaded recorded content to the platform
• They can also mint the recorded video and get an NFT out of it
• A user has to subscribe to the artist if he/she wants to watch their live stream which is enabled by CFA(Constant Flow Agreement) which is like Streaming Money !!
This would simulate pay as you go model in traditional applications.
The journey of this project was a complete roller coaster and we faced many challenge along the way and we have make our way through them. This being our first web3 hackathon challenges were bound to be there but they taught us a lot as well. Some the challenges we faced were:
• Enabling the platform for web2 users and and seamless onboarding using Arcana. We faced some difficulties to enable transactions in the arcana wallet while sending tip from users to the artists.
• We had hard time figuring to out asset ID after stream has ended in livepeer for a user, but the Livepeer docs helped us to figure it out at the end.
• We also faced some issues regarding integrating CFA and understanding it for subscription model that we conceptualised for the project.
Overall it was a fun project for us !!
