We’re building a platform that brings transparent ownership and monetization to AI-generated music using Web3.
The problem StorySong solves
- Opaque Ownership: Traditional music industry has opaque ownership rights.
- AI Evolution: AI can now generate music indistinguishable from human creation. you totally agree when you use suno or udio.
- Ownership Gap: No easy, trustworthy way to claim and trade ownership of AI-generated music.
To solve the problem of opaque revenue sharing and ownership in the existing music industry, several web3 blockchain protocols have attempted to solve this problem, but to date, there has been little success. There hasn't been much need to utilize this technology, but with the advent of AI, ownership management of music content created by AI will become inevitable in the future. To solve this problem easily, blockchain NFT technology.
We’re building a platform that brings transparent ownership and monetization to AI-generated music using Web3. As AI tools like Suno and Udio make it easier than ever to create music, the need to manage rights and revenue fairly becomes critical. Our solution uses NFT and blockchain tech to help creators claim, license, and trade ownership of AI music—solving the long-standing problem of opaque rights and revenue in the music industry. This way, the fans can support the musicians who created this AI music, and the musicians who created this AI music can earn money.
Challenges I ran into
- Being new to the Story protocol, we spent a lot of time trying to understand, integrate, and properly test it. In particular, we thought about how we could utilize derivative IPs. To implement this, we followed the typescript sdk example and developer sandbox primarily.
- Some licence seems not working properly, and not sure if it's bug like 3 times confirms
- We tried to use the suno private api to allow prompt input and generation inside the service, but it didn't work well, so we took a workaround by utilizing an existing sample.
- To build the marketplace, we focused on making the UX more user-friendly. We thought about how to combine actions like minting and licensing, and later royalty and claim.
- We didn't get to implement everything we had planned due to lack of time like fetching nfts as list. It will work as a basic prototype. this means we've configured all actions to be visible at once.
