While building this project, one major challenge I faced was removing backgrounds from images and creating high-quality stickers for artists without the need for costly APIs or proprietary models. Many pre-built solutions, such as cloud-based APIs for background removal, require expensive subscriptions or have limitations on usage, making them impractical for a cost-effective solution, especially for independent artists or small teams.

By leveraging the open-source libraries, I was able to build a robust background removal and sticker creation pipeline without relying on expensive commercial solutions. This made the project affordable, scalable, and customizable for independent creators.
