The problem Stashit solves
The Stashit application solves the problem of encouraging and facilitating microsavings and financial literacy in the Web3 ecosystem. By leveraging blockchain technology, users can connect their MetaMask wallets and securely deposit small amounts of cryptocurrency into their savings wallet. Users can set saving goals, track progress and even earn interests on their savings. Through the integration of DeFi lending protocols, the "Earn" feature provides an opportunity for users to earn passive income on their cryptocurrency holdings. Stashit empowers individuals to build a savings habit, engage in the Web3 ecosystem, and participate in the growing decentralized finance ecosystem.
Challenges we ran into
Among the difficulties encountered during the project were the integration of Web3 technology and Metamask for wallet communication. It was critical to test and ensure cross-browser compatibility. Deploying smart contracts and dealing with security concerns were critical for protecting user assets. Designing a UI that matched with the current trends of today's Web3 websites was also difficult. Handling data on different web pages was also quite time taking. Due to a lack of documentation and learning materials for upcoming Web3 technologies, lots of trial and error was required. Also one of our main features of "Stashit Earn" is still under developement due to complex DeFi protocols. Overcoming these obstacles resulted in a successful project completion and excellent learning opportunities.
