Spotlite
Where Creators Get Seen—and Paid
The problem Spotlite solves
On platforms like Zora and Farcaster, creators mint content (coins) and cast thoughts—but there are no analytics tools to:
-
Track performance of their Zora coins.
-
Compare engagement and earnings across creators.
-
Understand what type of content resonates in real time.
In traditional social media (e.g. Instagram), creators can monetize through brand deals, but:
-
It's manual (DMs, negotiations).
-
It's centralized (platforms control reach and payment flow)
-
It's time-consuming for deal to be reached
Challenges I ran into
Zora SDK Limitations: Earning Graphs & Creator Revenue
The Zora SDK currently lacks robust endpoints or data structures to easily:
This made it difficult to build a meaningful "creator earnings graph", a core feature of Spotlite's analytics dashboard. I had to explore workarounds using raw contract events or API scraping—which added complexity and reduced real-time accuracy.
Decentralized Identity & Profile Linking
On Farcaster/Zora, there's no built-in link between:
- A creator’s Farcaster handle and their Zora creator address.
- Their cast content and coin performance.
