Our project Sports Trial Registration Platform is a Web Application where users can search and apply for sports trials without any hassle, saving time as compared to the offline procedure. The users can view their applications, download the application form, and delete their application if they don't want to continue participation.
Many of the aspiring candidates are not aware of trials and miss the opportunity as it is an offline process. Our website sends email updates to users when a new trial is added to the database.
Certificates are necessary formal documents. Our website is a one-stop destination for athletes to store their certificates and achievements on the cloud and access them anytime.
Some applicants who are not able to apply offline for trials due to inconvenience can easily apply online. Online applications are more convenient and have a higher participation rate. The user no longer needs to browse multiple sites to update themselves about the latest sports news. Our website has all the latest sports news. It also has the list of sports supported by the government of India.
Some sports are still underrated when compared to cricket and football in India and are not given enough promotion. We provide trial details of all the sports through our web application.
To increase the sports spirit, the users can see other user's certificates and achievements and get motivated to improve themselves.
We aim to reduce corruption by making the process of selections transparent and robust by integrating blockchain into the application (in future) and all the selections made by the selection committee will be attached to a blockchain transaction so that their decision is full and final and no one can temper the information.
Choosing the appropriate Tech Stack was a hurdle we ran into and finalizing it was a tough job as there are so many options out there.
Found some difficulties in finding the ideology to make users be able to download their application forms with all the appropriate details.
Deploying the Django Web Application was a Hassle and it created many bugs but at the end of the day, we were able to deploy it on a AWS ec2 instance successfully.
