A UI design, for a web-based student portal for a university that provides students with easy access to their academic information, such as grades, schedules, assignments, and course materials.
The problem Celestial Student Portal solves
We studied the portal of ours, as well as various other universities and noted the shortcomings of their design.
Our motive was to improve and re-design our student portal in such a way that it looks more visually appealing as well as functions in a better way. It also makes the portal user-friendly.
Challenges we ran into
Considering the fact that we are beginners in the field of UI/UX, we faced difficulties while navigating through the various features of Figma.
The task of implementing the animation prototypes was quite challenging.
Designing multiple wireframes and linking the pages using icons helped us overcome the hurdles. Moreover, the plugins provided by Figma were quite useful.
