The problem Songbirdz solves

The Songbirdz project is bringing bird watching onchain to Base.

In order to onboard 1 billion users onchain, then we need to provide them with games and experiences that can be enjoyed be a broad range of users, not just our fellow degens and crypto natives.

Songbirdz is a simple onchain game where each item in the NFT collection represents a species of bird, and in order to "mint" the NFT you must correctly identify the species name, which is hidden, of the bird based on its image and a song recording.

There are 800 different species of birds to collect, with 10,000 total birds in the collection. We've run five 3-month long bird watching competitions where the top 10 onchain birders have earned prizes.

There is also a memory-match game that is 100% free-to-play using the Songbirdz media and metadata.

We run monthly irl bird watching bounties via our farcaster channel.

We have a 2nd "Hall of Fame" NFT collection that features fully onchain, pixelated bird art (by xPoli). This is used to honor the top 3 finishers in each of our past onchain bird watching competitions.
