Our Socratic AI Tutor transforms traditional education by leveraging GenAI to engage students through the Socratic method. The assistant asks probing questions, guiding learners toward answers and fostering deep critical thinking.
In-scope:
AI-powered learning through Socratic questioning
Personalized responses tailored to individual student needs
Real-time, adaptive feedback to enhance problem-solving skills
Out of scope:
Directly providing answers to questions
General subject tutoring not focused on inquiry-based learning
Future opportunities:
Expanding into different educational sectors such as STEM and humanities
Integrating with virtual classrooms for a seamless learning experience
Adding multilingual support to reach global audiences
Challenges I ran into
One major hurdle was ensuring that the AI accurately followed the Socratic method without simply giving away answers.
