Social Trade
On Chain Social Trading
The problem Social Trade solves
People struggled with the lack of accessible, permissionless tools to share and monetize trading strategies on-chain.
Most existing platforms are either centralized, limited to crypto, or do not allow individuals to manage capital for others transparently. Retail traders have no scalable way to become asset managers. Investors, in turn, lack trustless, non-custodial access to curated strategies across asset classes.
SocialTrade.ai solves this by allowing anyone to create and manage their own decentralized fund — trading perpetuals (stocks, indices, commodities, forex) and any Base token on Spot.
It empowers strategy creators to earn from their performance and social reach, while giving followers full visibility, control, and custody over their positions.
To deepen monetization and community building, we also enable Web3-native social features: NFT or token-gated access, subscriptions, one-time payments, and more — turning every fund into a creator-powered micro-community.
We believe the rise of Farcaster and Warpcast marks a new era for social trading. With onchain interactions directly inside the social feed, it's the perfect environment to unlock seamless discovery, engagement, and monetization of trading strategies. That’s why we’re heavily focused on building the best Farcaster miniapp for social trading.
We make social trading trustless, scalable, and composable — directly on Base.
Challenges I ran into
Building a social trading platform onchain sounds simple — until you realize the infrastructure to let users trade for others in a decentralized, non-custodial way barely exists.
We had to navigate fragmented liquidity, find the right Perpetual protocol (shoutout to Gains Network), and design a system where strategy creators could manage trades transparently without taking custody of followers’ funds.
Another major challenge was UX. Web3 wallets and trading interfaces are still clunky for newcomers — yet we wanted creators to feel like they were launching a Substack or Patreon, not configuring a DeFi vault. We spent countless iterations simplifying the flow for creating and subscribing to strategies.
Lastly, the Farcaster miniapp stack is still young. Building smooth social experiences inside Warpcast required custom workarounds, creative UI solutions, and very close coordination with the Farcaster community.
Every challenge pushed us to think harder, build smarter, and stay focused on delivering a true social trading experience — permissionless, powerful, and fun.
