The problem Sober solves

Addiction affects millions globally, with successful recovery requiring daily commitment and motivation. Current digital tools for tracking sobriety are inadequate—most people resort to basic date calculators or manual counting methods that fail to acknowledge the emotional significance and courage required for each sober day. This lack of meaningful tracking tools undermines the psychological reinforcement crucial for sustained recovery.
Solution:
Sober Mini-App transforms sobriety tracking from a mechanical calculation into a celebration of personal achievement. The app recognizes that each sober day represents courage, determination, and self-love—treating these milestones with the respect they deserve and inspiring other along the way.
Key Features & Impact:

Simple, intuitive daily check-in system
Celebrates each day as a valuable personal asset
Creates positive psychological reinforcement for continued sobriety

Social Impact:
Beyond individual tracking, the app creates a ripple effect where personal recovery journeys become sources of inspiration for others struggling with addiction. By making sobriety tracking more meaningful and accessible, we're contributing to broader addiction recovery efforts and reducing social stigma through visible, celebrated progress.

Target Audience:
Individuals in recovery seeking better tools to track and celebrate their progress, plus those considering beginning their sobriety journey who need inspiration and support.

Challenges I ran into

I have zero coding experience, been learning and experimenting over the pasts 5 months with different tools and approaches.
Getting the app to work and the publishing steps on Farcaster represented the biggest challenges for me.

Also thinking on a way to make transactions on the app, if it should have a token reward or not. Also thinking on what's best to curate and protect the community, leaving farmers and bots out of the equation.
