SmartJobs
AI-powered escrow for freelancers
The problem SmartJobs solves
Freelancers and clients often do not trust each other. Clients worry about paying for low-quality or incomplete work, while freelancers worry about doing work and not getting paid. Smart Jobs solves this with an on-chain escrow flow: the client funds a job upfront, the freelancer submits a preview and source package, and an AI reviewer compares the delivery against the original brief before the buyer releases or refunds the payment.
The result is a safer freelance workflow where payment is locked transparently, source files stay gated until approval, and both sides get a clear review layer without relying on a centralized middleman.
Challenges we ran into
The hardest part was making the full escrow lifecycle work end to end: creating a job, funding escrow, accepting the job as a freelancer, submitting files, running AI review, and then releasing or refunding funds on Sepolia.
Another challenge was handling real file submissions. The app needed to show buyer-safe preview files while keeping source files hidden until approval. I also had to connect the AI review output to the local job ledger and make the review page feel responsive while the model was processing.
On the smart contract side, the difficult part was keeping the frontend wallet flow, transaction confirmations, and local escrow state in sync so users do not get stuck after MetaMask confirms a transaction.
