The traditional hiring process can be time-consuming and
inefficient for both job applicants and recruiters. Applicants are
often required to manually apply for multiple jobs and
recruiters must sift through numerous resumes to find suitable
candidates. It involves a lot of manual work and is often time-
consuming and expensive. Sorting through numerous
applications and resumes can be overwhelming, and
sometimes candidates with the right qualifications are
overlooked. This can lead to missed opportunities for both
parties and a lack of diversity in the hiring process.
During the web development hackathon, our team encountered several challenges that tested our skills and perseverance. One of the biggest challenges was the time constraints. With only 24 hours to create a functional web application, we had to work quickly and efficiently to bring our ideas to life.
We also faced technical difficulties, such as server deployment issues and version control problems, which caused some delays and frustration. Communication and collaboration were also challenging, as our team members came from different backgrounds and had different work styles.
Another challenge was executing our ideas effectively within the given theme and constraints. We had several ideas to choose from, but we had to prioritize and focus on the most feasible ones.
Lastly, the intense and competitive nature of the hackathon led to burnout and fatigue, which affected our productivity and creativity.
Despite these challenges, our team remained focused, communicated closely, and worked together to overcome the obstacles. We broke down our tasks into smaller goals and kept an open mind to new ideas and approaches. In the end, we were proud of our functional web application and the experience we gained from the hackathon.
