The problem SMART SUNGLASSES FOR BLIND PEOPLE solves

In this project, we have made a combination of Artificial Intelligence and Raspberry-pi to detect
the objects in front of blind people and alert them to what is in front of them. So, that they could
guess the object in front of them and can able to make their activities according to their situation.
It is difficult for blind people to pass their day-to-day life with their disabilities. To make their life
easier, we have made smart blind sunglasses with some features interfaced in their sunglasses.
Whenever the obstacle is detected on the way through an ultrasonic sensor placed on the front of
the glass, the Camera gets triggered to capture the object which is on the way. The captured image
is sent to the cloud to identify the type of the object and then it is intimated as a voice command
through the speaker or via earphones connected with Raspberry pi. So that blind can able to
identify the object in front of them, if it is identified that is a human in their way, they can ask for
any help. If there is a large obstacle like a car, they can be able to walk based on the object in front
of them. Additionally, with the help of google maps, the system will automatically navigate its
way to home by interfacing GPS with the system

Challenges I ran into

The working of the system begins when the power supply
is given. The ultrasonic sensor is then used to detect
obstacle and provides distance between obstacle and the
device. GPS Module provides navigation. When obstacle
is detected, the distance and the navigation will be
processed using Raspberry Pi device. The processing
happens in such a way that if the obstacle is on to the
right side, a voice command will be given to take left and
vice versa.
