The problem Smart Scan solves

Over the last few decades, the world has been shocked by accounts of tens of thousands of people who are known to have disappeared due to one or another reason. Time is a critical aspect in cases of disappearance.

Our idea is to automate the search for missing persons in order to work efficiently. We plan to achieve this through artificial intelligence.
We can add a missing person to the database, which will search for that person through the real-time database. Then this will show all plausible matches. This is then gone to the verify results page where the admin can verify the match found and if the match is right, a mail and message is sent to the contact mail and phone number.

Opportunity:

1. We are using the website to create a voluntary database of missing persons. Also, we are going to use Face++ for face recognition instead of the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method to tackle high computational complexity.

2. In our idea, only Admin and some trusted people like police, etc., rather than strangers can update the data set continuously to ensure a sense of security.
