Building Smart Learn, powered by ChatGPT, was thrilling yet challenging. A major hurdle was ensuring the chatbot's contextual understanding. It struggled to maintain context over extended interactions, leading to irrelevant responses. Another challenge was integrating diverse educational resources effectively.
Specific Bug: Contextual Understanding
The chatbot had trouble retaining context during prolonged conversations, causing confusion. We tackled this by implementing a context-aware response mechanism. It involved tracking conversation history and tagging context dynamically. This required careful testing and parameter tuning.
Specific Hurdle: Integration with Educational Resources
Integrating various educational materials into the chatbot was complex. We developed APIs for accessing external databases and a preprocessing module to standardize resource formats. Additionally, a ranking algorithm prioritized relevant resources based on user queries.
