Sign-O detects hand gestures, specifically sign-language alphabets & common phrases. The goal of Sign-O is to make communication easier for hearing impaired people. Sign-O can be deployed in the services industry so that hearing impaired people can enjoy general services with ease by communicating in sign-language without the need for another person who knows how to communicate in it.
The biggest hurdle was training our model. Through an input video feed, we trained our models with sign-language alphabets which took a lot of iterations to reach an acceptable accuracy.
