The problem Shuffle Master solves

Let me paint a situation for you. You are listening to music. Today you feel like exploring a new playlist. You play the playlist on shuffle and get back to the task at hand. The playlist surprises you and plays a beautiful song you have never heard of before. The only problem is your device is out of reach. Maybe you are running, or maybe cooking with your hands covered in batter. Maybe, you like to play music while showering. In such situations where you can’t check your phone, what do you do? You could go through your music history and play every song back and maybe come across it as shuffle music plays a random order which you can’t just trace back every time. It could take you one try or may take more. You could also try to remember a part of the lyrics and try googling it later. What if I propose a solution that could save you from all this hassle?
THE IDEA -
The idea is to build an app which I call the Shuffle Master. When a song is about to end, the app will gently lower the volume of your music. It will then announce to you the name of the song and the artist and again bring your music back to its original volume. There is a reason the announcement is being made after the song ends and not when it starts playing. As it is a new song, when it starts playing, you hardly have any idea if you are going to like it. Hence one may not even pay heed to the announcement made at the start. Once the song finishes and the user has determined that he/she likes the song, they are more likely to listen to the announcement with intent. The app will also let the user control how loud the announcement is. It will also not be specific to any music service. Whatever your preferred music service is or even for offline music, the app algorithm will carefully read out the song title. This way you never lose out on good music. Even if you do forget the name of the song, it will now be easier to search through your music history due to the audio cue you received before. Thank you.

Challenges I ran into

As a first-year undergraduate student, limited technical knowledge is something to work on. Ideathon 2k21 did give me a solid incentive to expand my technical repertoire.

Thank you for taking the time to review my submission.
