Transparency, traceability, and food safety present important difficulties to the global food supply chain. Inefficiencies, fraud, and a lack of customer confidence may result from these difficulties. By offering a safe and transparent method for following food goods from farm to table, blockchain technology has the ability to alleviate these issues. Due to a number of technological, financial, and legal issues, however, the implementation of blockchain technology in the food chain supply is still rather restricted. The interoperability of blockchain systems, high transaction costs, a lack of standardisation, and regulatory ambiguity are a few of these difficulties. In order to improve transparency, traceability, and food safety, there is a need for creative solutions that can address these issues and make it easier for blockchain technology to be adopted in the food chain supply.
