The problem Shine 💎 solves
We all know that the platforms where we listen to music often pay artists unfairly. That’s why many musicians turned to Web3, to cut out the middlemen and connect directly with their fans.
But there are still major limitations: today, there are almost no platforms where you can listen to music onchain, and many artists still don’t have simple tools to mint their songs.
Shine offers a real solution: it allows artists to create digital collectibles of their music, and users to listen for free*,even with their phone locked and without leaving Warpcast. Plus, fans of the social network can keep casting while listening to music, blending the social and listening experience in one place.

In parallel to this miniapp, we're also building a desktop application that has already won recent hackathons — including first place in three tracks at the Avalanche Summit last year.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating Farcaster’s social graph data into user profiles to leverage visibility and recommendations. We solved this by applying Neynar as a service to associate wallets with FIDs.
We experienced some delays indexing the app on Base. While our mini-app was visible and working correctly on Farcaster, on Base App we had to make changes not only to the Manifest but also to the app metadata, specifically in the <head>. On Base App it worked if you searched for a token or pasted the URL, but it was not possible to find it otherwise.
Occasionally, the mini-app detected errors when fetching accounts. We solved this by using Farcaster preconnect so it could automatically detect accounts and associate them with the platform.

Shine was launched just 10 days ago and already features numerous songs created and purchased, demonstrating rapid growth and early engagement. In this short time, the mini-app has seen exponential usage, highlighting the power of our community :) ( now is top 2 in baseapp music miniapps )
Shine was designed by the Musicaw3 collective and community, both virtual and IRL, which means we already have a solid and committed user base to drive future onchain activity. We are excited to scale this impact and bring Shine to even more artists and fans in the coming months.
