The problem Seva solves

Seva is an android mobile application that helps you donate edible food to people in need. It is a one-stop solution where Food donors can meet various interested Food collectors. A single platform for both a donor and collector. The major motivation for making this app is to reduce food wastage, spread awareness, and provide necessary food resources to NGOs, Animal shelters, Old age homes, orphanages, etc. Seva helps you track your food donations and wastage with the help of graphs making the app more user-friendly!

Challenges I ran into

Creating charts for the statistics, but I managed to find an open-source library on GitHub and used it in the project. Integrating the app with the backend was challenging was getting several errors, hosing my app on the cloud was challenging. I was using 000webhost, some functions were working but others weren't hence, integrating and hosting the system was difficult. Currently, the app is locally hosted. There are some real-life challenges in my project like "How will the food reach a collector who is far away ? (say not in the radius of 10km)" or "What if a donation gets canceled? ", etc. I will be working on these real-life problems as a future extension to my current project. For donors and collectors who are too far away location-wise, we can add a delivery (transport) and tracking system to the app
