The problem Sessions solves
Creating music is a challenging process. The golden goose in the music-tech industry is the DAW that allows realtime collaboration between musicians. I have craved this and watched countless projects claim that they will offer it. But, they don't call it the golden goose because it is easy to catch.
My buddy in San Diego can't play drums with me in real time... but he can send me an 8 bar stem at 120bpm that I can play on a loop until I throw down an 18 bar bass loop at 120bpm. BUT WE DONT KNOW HOW TO PLAY GUITAR, so we send it to our other buddy in Ohio that can play a sick 8-bar chord progression for us. BOOM now we're a band.. but where is the vocalist? we take it to Sessions and ask the community who can write something for us ...
Sessions is our first step. We want people to collaborate online and blockchains make it possible to reward or let users earn money if their efforts are chosen to be used in a song. We provide a beat pad that let users ask for help finishing their song. Any of the 4 commonly used "STEM" portions (bass, drum synthe, vox) can be requested. If your beat, vocals, synth, guitar, etc. gets selected, they are minted into the song and rewards are provided. Users can use wallet-less sign in to ease the onboarding process but our mission is to find the best ecosystem to evolve this project and FLOW has serious WEIGHT... and has been a great experience so far!
