Since 2014, 787 personnel of the Indian military have died. Not at the hands of the enemy, but due to the pain and damage they sustained; not in their physical body, but in their mental and emotional health. They were not provided with the healing they needed. And this suffering wasn’t limited to soldiers at our frontlines but also to the families grieving at the loss of the courageous soldiers who were left out from the care and support they deserved.
Often times the issue of not having qualified professionals cleared for sensitive information has created a hindrance for personnel to disclose their problems along with the fact that contacting said professionals has been a challenge.
To ensure that our brave warriors and their loved ones are given the help and support they need in whatever way they need it we’ve created ServeEM. From PTSD to emotional counseling, we are here to support those that spend their lives supporting us by connecting them with the people who can provide the help they deserve.
It was tough to come up with as many aspects as possible for the platform to make it an actual solution, and it took us a while to come up with some features that could actually be useful in a real life scenario. Also, the lack of experience definitely was a big hurdle, but we overcame that by keeping at it and not giving up, and by learning from the fabulous mentors of Microsoft Learn Student Chapter, TIET Patiala!
