The problem Sentinel solves

The problem of illegal encroachment is very rampant in India nowadays and it gets very difficult to monitor such activities in a large country like India. Also, normal aerial imaging turns out to be ineffective due to a dense cloud cover in many places. Our project solves this problem by using SAR data so that the monitoring and prevention of illegal encroachment may become an easier task.

Challenges we ran into

Google Earth Engine was new to us so we had to figure out how to get it to work.
We also had to do a lot of research about SAR and Sentinel 1 data so that we may use our findings in our project.
Also, it was quite a challenge to determine the calssification algorithm that would go best with the demands of our project.
