The problem SEFTI solves

"In this COVID-19 Pandemic, aren't we always afraid of catching coronavirus from the daily essentials that come to our home or electronic items that we carry outside? "
That is why we built SEFTI, an intelligent UV-C based sanitization machine which would sanitize everything from your daily groceries to your electronic items & even face masks.

Concept Behind Our Project:
Ultraviolet-C radiations are germicidal in nature. It causes damage to the nucleic acid of microorganisms such as Coronavirus, bacterias & other pathogens rendering them unable to replicate due to which they ultimately die. UV-C proves to be a lot more effective than Alcohol-based sanitizers or any other ways of Sanitization. The machine can carry out sanitization under a minute or two.

Coming on to applications, it can be used for sanitization of:
1. Fruits & Vegetables
2. Cash & Important Documents
3. Electronic items such as Mobile & Laptops
4. Clothes in stores before going for a Trial
5. Face Maks making it reusable
6. Daily Groceries and many more

Not only it has a wide variety of applications but also a lot of features:
A. Auto Set Timer for Various Modes, depending upon the item being sanitized
B. Safety Lock & Password, for use by authorized personnel only
C. 360 degree surface sanitization due to UV-C Lamps on top & bottom of the machine
D. Easy to Use & Clean as well

Challenges we ran into

While building the project from scratch, the designing of electronic circuitry to carry out the required process took a lot of time. Hardware wasn't easy to arrange. Construction of the outer structure was a tiring process & we were short of proper tools as well. We got over it by contacting the nearby shops for purchasing necessary hardware and using all the tools available to us which though made the process slow but still possible.
