Mitigate Phishing Risk
Securethy uses blockchain to authenticate files with a unique CID, providing users with a secure and verifiable way to access shared data. By ensuring that files are only accessible to verified users through wallet-based authentication, the platform eliminates the risk of phishing attacks associated with conventional file-sharing systems. -
Tamper-Proof File Sharing
Securethy leverages blockchain technology to create immutable records for file uploads and updates. Each modification generates a new CID, ensuring that files remain secure, verifiable, and protected from tampering. This guarantees the integrity of shared data by providing transparent and traceable proof of ownership and updates.
Challenges I ran into
Introducing gas fees in a blockchain-based data-sharing platform sounds expensive. To combat that, we introduced paid version of the platform in future plans so that part of the fund from the business model can be used to cover gas fee expenses while also enabling the platform to generate revenue, making it a sustainable platform.
Other than that, we also ran into some minor challenges, like designing a unique and visual appealing site. We tried to get inspirations from plenty other platforms and we decided to stick with minimalistic design at last.
