This is a prelimiany protoype of a search and rescue self navigating robot built using Arduino IDE. Programmed using C++.

The problem Search & Rescue robot prototype solves

This robot utilizes LDR technology to identify obstacles, navigate around it and can fit into small spaces with payload such as a camera and/or medical equpment to search and rescue people stuck under debry or in military warfare for recon purposes. This is much safer as it elimates the need for a human to do the same job which can be pretty risky. Furthermore, this robot can be controlled via a wireless remote like a software on a smart device. features such as gps location and on board camera can be installed to make it a ground recon bot.

Challenges I ran into

Main hurdle was power utilization. We had to compromize on the motor power to align the power utilization and had a hard time optimizing the software as well.
