The platform addresses the widespread issue of certificate forgery and duplication, which undermines the credibility of legitimate qualifications, achievements, and event participation records. In many cases, fake certificates are easily created or duplicates are issued, making it difficult for employers, educational institutions, and other verifying entities to trust their authenticity. This blockchain-based solution simplifies and secures the entire process of certificate issuance and verification, making it both easier and safer for users.
By generating a unique code for each certificate and verifying it against the blockchain, the platform ensures that no duplicate or fake certificates can be created. This prevents forgery and guarantees the authenticity of every issued certificate. Blockchain’s decentralized and immutable nature adds another layer of security, making the stored certificates tamper-proof and trustworthy. This removes the need for manual cross-referencing or reliance on easily manipulated databases, as verifiers can quickly and automatically validate certificates by checking the unique code against the blockchain.
By leveraging the transparency and reliability of blockchain technology, this platform enhances the integrity of certificate issuance and streamlines the verification process, making it more efficient, trustworthy, and fraud-resistant.
We initially with using Tezos for our project. The Michelson language and Tezos environment were hard to understand, and writing smart contracts was challenging. Debugging and setting up tools like SmartPy also gave us trouble.
