Making the Blue Planet, Blue.

The problem Sea Raptor solves

The Sea Raptor addresses the problem of ocean plastic pollution by autonomously detecting and collecting plastic debris. It helps mitigate the harmful impact of plastic waste on marine ecosystems, protecting marine life and preserving the health of our oceans for future generations.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Data Availability: Acquiring sufficient and diverse training data for the Machine Learning algorithms to accurately detect plastic debris in various ocean environments proved challenging.

  2. Model Integration: Integrating Machine Learning algorithms into the Sea Raptor's system while ensuring compatibility with the Blender-generated 3D model and Streamlit interface required careful coordination and testing.

  3. Real-Time Processing: Achieving real-time processing capabilities for detecting and responding to plastic debris using Machine Learning algorithms within the Sea Raptor's operational framework posed technical difficulties.

  4. User Interface Design: Designing a user-friendly interface using Streamlit to visualize the Sea Raptor's operations and interact with the detected plastic debris data required iterative development and feedback.
