S4D5
Multi-Agent AI Hedge Fund on Autopilot!
The problem S4D5 solves
Standard algorithmic trading and standalone AI bots suffer from "The Blind Execution Trap." Most bots are optimized for activity—they trade whenever they see a signal, even if market volatility or risk indicators suggest they shouldn't. This "Action Bias" leads to catastrophic losses during market anomalies.
S4D5 solves this by moving from a single bot to a Specialized Agent Society.
The Incentive Gap: We use Hedera Token Service (HTS) to solve the principal-agent problem. Instead of being paid just to trade, our agents are paid to be skeptical.
Rewarding Integrity: By creating a Veto Bonus, we've made "Safety" the most profitable product in the fund. An agent earns more for a justified Veto (+15 S4D5) than for an approval (+5 S4D5), ensuring their "greed" is aligned with the fund's survival.
Challenges we ran into
Developing a multi-agent financial entity on-chain came with significant "Final Boss" hurdles: The "Byzantine" Agent Problem: Ensuring that when the Audit Oracle issues a Veto, the Execution Hand cannot ignore it. We solved this by anchoring all agent "Intents" to the Hedera Consensus Service (HCS). This creates an immutable, fair-ordered log that prevents any agent from acting without consensus.
Calibrating the Economy: Balancing the S4D5 reward token logic was a game-theory challenge. We had to ensure the Protector Bonus was high enough to encourage safety, but not so high that the agents became "lazy" and Vetoed every profitable trade.
Interoperability: We struggled with how to make our agent's high-quality risk audits available to external platforms without building custom, fragile APIs for every single vendor.
Use of AI tools and agents
We utilized a cutting-edge "Agentic Stack" to ensure our hedge fund is production-ready for the 2026 economy:
OpenClaw Multi-Agent Framework: Our agents (Strategist, Oracle, and Hand) are independent OpenClaw instances. They use autonomous reasoning and terminal access to process data and interact with the ledger.
QuickNode Oracles: To maintain a "Source of Truth," our agents use QuickNode to pull real-time on-chain data for Bitcoin and Ethereum, allowing for instant volatility detection.
Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP): This is our standout integration. We used UCP to turn our internal Audit Oracle into a "Risk-as-a-Service" merchant. By hosting a manifest at /.well-known/ucp, any external agent can discover our fund and "buy" a professional trade audit.
Hedera AI Agent Kit: We leveraged this toolkit to handle AP2 (Agent Payments Protocol). This allows our agents to sign cryptographic spending mandates on HCS and settle performance rewards atomically via HTS.
Ps: we also used LLM's
