The problem Scholarship Fund solves
Our mission is to make charity funds more transparent so that corruptions or money laundering can be reduced. Everyone will know when the money is deposited in and out of the system running the smart contract that stores transaction history on the blockchain network. This allow the charity administrator to keep themselves clean as accused of them misusing the charity funds can be kept to the bear minimum. It also allows the knowledge of cryptocurrency to be spread around youngster, encouraging them to use cryptocurrency too.
Challenges we ran into
Wow...where do i start from... As beginners who are not very familiar to this, I would say the most hardest part is deploying the smart contract. We've tried a lot of times, but one specific error keeps on popping out which is getBalance() in out deploy script. it keeps on saying that its not a function. But at the end we switch to remix and successfully deployed the contract.
Besides that, after successfully deployed, there's still something that makes our smart contract did not work as expected. Turns out i have to use solidity with a lower version "0.8.24" instead of "0.8.28" to run and compile.
Lastly, i would say the timeframe was kinda tight because we started the progress quite late.
