The unavailability of dynamic API access from various food platforms presented a major challenge during the development of our website. This limitation made it difficult to gather real-time data on menu items, pricing, and availability, affecting the accuracy and reliability of our comparison service. As a result, we had to explore alternative methods for data collection and update frequency, requiring additional time and resources to implement. To address the challenge of unavailability of dynamic API access from various food platforms, we've employed a multi-faceted approach. Firstly, we've implemented web scraping techniques to directly extract real-time data from the websites of these platforms, ensuring access to the latest information. Additionally, strategic partnerships with select food platforms that offer API access have been established, enabling direct integration and access to their data.
