The problem Save Buddy solves
The Save Buddy App allows families or individuals who earn to save/track their savings/expenses and incomes. It allows people who are challenging to save money or even keep money aside for grocery to have a planner created by the app, laying out all expenses and how much is ideal to spend on groceries. It also saves a few hundred dollars for you, keeping in mind your expenses and incomes.
Challenges we ran into
At first, it was difficult to come up with an idea that wasn't already built. We realized we don't have to create a whole new design but be innovative and create a better layout for users to use. Also, we didn't know the same languages and we really wanted to build an app. So we decided to use proto.io which was a new technology to us. We learned it and made our design. We watched youtube videos and did trial and error to see what worked and what didn't. Overall the experience was very enjoyable, as it was my partner's first hackathon.
