The problem SATYAFIR solves
The Problem SATYAFIR Solves:
Lack of transparency, accountability, and accessibility in the current FIR (First Information Report) system.
🔍 Key Issues:
FIR Tampering or Deletion:
Traditional systems are vulnerable to manipulation by corrupt officials or external pressure.
FIRs can go missing or be altered without traceability.
Delayed or Denied FIR Filing:
Victims are often discouraged or outright denied from filing FIRs due to bias, harassment, or red tape.
No Public Tracking:
Victims have no way to transparently track the progress or status of their complaint.
Centralized Dependence:
All records are stored in centralized systems vulnerable to data loss, breaches, or manipulation.
Challenges we ran into
1)Ensuring Data Privacy on a Public Blockchain
The dilemma: FIRs often contain sensitive personal information.
The challenge: Balancing transparency with confidentiality.
Solution: We used IPFS with encryption and stored only content hashes or metadata on-chain, keeping sensitive data protected.
2)Preventing Fake or Malicious FIRs
The risk: An open system could be misused by spammers or bad actors.
Challenge: How to validate users without central control.
Solution: Verified users via Adhar no(unique digital identity), added proof upload (like documents, images), and rate-limiting mechanisms.
- Integrating telegram API with our backend and use it to make communication easier with non_tech people too.
