SAARTHI is an innovative app-based solution focused on promoting financial inclusion and economic empowerment for underserved populations, including daily wage workers, those below the poverty line, students, and the financially illiterate.
Challenges we ran into
Developing a financial inclusion app powered by Llama AI for underserved rural populations in India comes with several challenges. First, accessing reliable data, like mobile payment histories or agricultural yields, is often difficult, while ensuring user privacy and earning their trust is essential. Additionally, the technical complexity of AI models and lack of digital literacy among users make both the design and functionality of the app challenging. Poor internet connectivity in rural areas further complicates things, requiring offline capabilities for continuity.
