Rozgar
Your Local Digital Store.
The problem Rozgar solves
Sunita, a homemaker living in a small town in India. Sunita is a skilled artisan who creates handmade jewelry and organic pickles from recipes passed down through generations. She dreams of turning her passion into a small business, but like many local artisans, she faces challenges.
Despite her talent, Sunita struggles to find buyers beyond her local neighborhood. She doesn’t have the resources to set up an online store, and large e-commerce platforms like Amazon are overwhelming for small sellers like her. She fears losing her personal touch, and she’s unsure of how to navigate the complicated logistics and digital world.
Meanwhile, Anjali, living in a nearby city, is looking for exactly what Sunita offers – unique, handmade products, but finding these small-scale, hidden treasures in her busy life isn’t easy. Instead, she ends up buying mass-produced items from large platforms.
This disconnect between Sunita and Anjali is a common story across India. The local craftspeople, homemakers, and small business owners who bring authenticity and culture to their products are often overshadowed by large retailers. And consumers who want these products don’t know where to find them.
Rozgaar is more than just an e-commerce platform – it’s a bridge between talented local artisans like Sunita and consumers like Anjali who value authenticity and quality. With Rozgaar, Sunita can easily create a storefront, list her products, and showcase her craftsmanship. She doesn’t have to worry about complex logistics or tech barriers – the platform is simple, intuitive, and built for local sellers.
Anjali, on the other hand, can now explore all the local sellers in her vicinity through Rozgaar’s proximity-based map. Whether it’s homemade pickles, handcrafted jewelry, or organic soaps, she can find, trust, and support small-scale businesses from the comfort of her home.
Challenges we ran into
- Managing complex routes: By first discussing and making of whole structure on paper instead of directly on system.
- Real-time tracking of product delivery: By using CTAs (Call to Action Buttons)
- Creating a Virtual Chat Room: Managing chats with their respective roomId.
