The problem Roll Runner 3D Game solves
Most endless runner games out there feel either too basic or overly commercial. They usually recycle the same mechanics, have clunky animations, and don’t really pull you into the experience — especially if you’re playing right from a browser.
-
Repetitive gameplay with little variation.
-
Unrealistic motion that breaks immersion.
-
Poor performance on browsers, especially when physics and graphics are involved.
How Roll Runner 3D Solves This:
Roll Runner 3D was built to make endless running fun, cinematic, and accessible — right in your browser.
-
It runs smoothly on modern browsers using Three.js, so there’s no need to download or install anything. You just open it and play.
-
We added realistic physics with Cannon.js and a cinematic camera that follows your character smoothly, making the action feel alive and immersive.
-
We’ve also made it simple to bring Web3 into the experience. Using Coinbase Paymaster and OnchainKit, we made in-game transactions (like buying skins, upgrades, or access to new levels) fast, gasless, and beginner-friendly.
-
No need to worry about complex wallets or gas fees
-
Transactions are processed with a smooth, Web2-like flow
-
Players stay on-chain while enjoying a game that feels completely off-chain
Challenges I ran into
-
One major challenge was combining Cannon.js physics with Three.js rendering in a smooth and efficient way. Physics simulations can get heavy and cause lag, especially with collisions and continuous object movement.
-
Creating a cinematic yet controllable camera was tricky. The camera had to follow the player smoothly without making players dizzy or losing sight of the character.
-
Endless runners need dynamic obstacle spawning and destruction, or memory leaks and clutter will crash the game over time.
-
Adding Coinbase Paymaster to enable smooth, gasless Web3 transactions inside the game was a new and complex challenge.
