The problem RePurpose solves

Repurpose is a marketplace designed to help connect people in an environment where they can sell their unusable/old products, and donate their waste materials which later, will be made into useful items and resold on the marketplace. It serves as a way to help reduce wastage, pollution, etc. The 5R Principle, i.e. Reuse, Reduce, Recycle, Repurpose & Refuse is the inspiration behind this project.

This project will not only help people in need get what they need at an affordable price since we will not be charging much (just enough to support the workforce) but most of the raw materials will be provided by the users/visitors of the website themselves. Also, as for the earnings, the earnings will be donation-based and we'll be charging small royalties for picking up the product from the seller and delivering the product to the buyer. We'll also be helping in providing a place to people who wish to sell recycled goods in a safe, secure, and easy manner. This will help in the reduction of wastage and pollution to help create a safe, clean, and green environment.

Challenges we ran into

During the event, we had to Integrate 3D models onto our website. So, we researched a bit and found solutions. The main problem after that was the CSS. Since we were collaborating through Replit, it took time to refresh and update results, and sometimes some stuff was working weirdly like if I defined the width and height of an image, it changed something else entirely. But after some debugging and refreshes, it worked out. In the end, we were not able to finish it, but we had fun and we did our best on our design, and are quite happy with how the homepage looks.
