The problem Renaissance DAO solves
Renaissance DAO is set to redefine the grant landscape for artists. Leveraging decentralized identity protocols and DAO governance, the platform ensures a transparent review process for artist grants. Community members actively participate by nominating artists, and a decentralized voting mechanism guides the selection process. To foster inclusivity and equality of opportunity, reward systems will recognize and incentivize both nominators and grant writers. This not only encourages active community engagement but also ensures a fair and collaborative ecosystem, promoting transparency and empowerment within the artistic community. Renaissance DAO is more than a platform; it's a cultural revival driven by a commitment to transparency, creativity, and community participation.
Challenges we ran into
We had a hard time connecting Expo React Native code to the contracts on local blockchain. Integrating the etherjs context is difficult as mobile apps don't let you use browser tools(like window(ethereum) or location etc). It was harder to debug/test the contracts locally as the transactions to the contracts needed to be verified on terminal.
