Our platform enables teachers and students to collaborate in realtime through a digital whiteboard. A teacher can input notes in various forms (e.g., typed words, drawings, handwritings, media) and it is shared in with every student. This enables the teacher to facilitate a more interactive and productive learning experience as the material is no longer static but can be dynamically altered as the lessons and students require. Teachers can use a single interface to disseminate information during lessons and as a collective source of information. We also enable students and teachers alike to add images(handwritten) which can be converted to text leveraging the technology obtained from GCP (Google Cloud Platform). From a student perspective, we offer material layering which allows the student to build their own version of the notes while collaborating with the teacher. The notes can either be saved for personal uses, class uses, or both. Through material layering we ensure the student and teacher notes do not overlap and can seamlessly compliment each other, catering to a personalised learning experience for each student. We facilitate interaction between students through the use of a group chat and also allow various sets of users to work on the platform together. Overall, our project enables teachers to conduct a more interactive and productive remote classroom environment by facilitating sharing of information and collaboration through the digital whiteboard. We also understand that each student has their own learning needs and our platform allows for students to collaborate on the notes adding relevant information to make the material more focused to their personal learning approach and learning styles. We hope to enable a more collective and interactive classroom experience and to build off this platform as a stepping stone to larger changes.
