ReDefy

Let's humanize clothes!

The problem ReDefy solves

Many customers face difficulties while shopping online due to uncertainties surrounding the fit, quality, and appearance of clothing items. They lack the ability to assess how a garment will look on them, whether the fabric will shrink or the color will fade over time, and if the product matches the displayed images accurately. These uncertainties make it challenging for customers to make confident purchasing decisions, leading to dissatisfaction, product returns, and increased hassle in the online shopping experience. Therefore, there is a need for a solution that addresses these concerns and provides customers with accurate and reliable information about clothing items before making a purchase, enhancing their confidence and overall satisfaction with online shopping.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Since many people can relate to the challenges of online buying, we received several reviews from people in our community about how we could improve our project. This was really overwhelming, but it was also incredibly educational.
Although there are numerous features that can be created to target the issue, we choose to concentrate on the most essential ones because of the hackathon's scope and time constraints.
Therefore, we talked about each feature's feasibility and practical implementation before deciding on its essential components.
  2. We chose to utilize the OpenAi API to recognize our properties in the image, but as we were unfamiliar with how it worked beforehand, it took us a long time to get used to the implementation and we encountered numerous technical difficulties.
