Decentralizing Energy (need of hour)
The problem RECreate solves
Problem It Solves
Fragmented REC Markets
Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) trading is currently slow, opaque, and dominated by intermediaries.
RECreate removes middlemen by putting the entire trade lifecycle directly on-chain, enabling transparent peer-to-peer trading.
No Fair Price Discovery
Buyers and sellers lack reliable signals to determine a fair REC price.
Our AI agents monitor live market feeds and dynamically suggest optimal pricing in real time.
Paperwork & Contract Complexity
Trade agreements between buyers and sellers are difficult to store, verify, and retrieve.
RECreate integrates Fileverse decentralized storage to store tamper-proof trade contracts.
Carbon Compliance Challenges
Companies pursuing sustainability targets struggle to track and prove their offset purchases.
RECreate provides a transparent and auditable trail linking every REC transaction to its carbon benefit.
Web3 Accessibility Issues
Most Web3 trading platforms are desktop-only, English-only, and inaccessible to many users.
RECreate introduces a mobile-first platform with:
- Gamified leaderboard
- Accessibility / blind mode
- Multilingual support
Challenges we ran into
Challenges We Ran Into
ENS Subdomain Registration
Dynamically registering ENS subdomains for each new buyer and seller required:
- Gas optimization
- Handling cases where subdomains were already claimed
- Managing failed or timed-out transactions during registration
AI Agent Price Calibration
Training the AI pricing agent was challenging. Early versions recommended prices that diverged too far from the market during low trading volume.
Solution:
- Introduced a rolling market average anchor
- Added deviation thresholds to cap unrealistic price recommendations
Fileverse Contract Integration
Linking on-chain REC tokens to off-chain contract documents stored in Fileverse required building a custom verification mapping layer.
This ensures the document hash can always be verified against the token ID.
Gamification Balance
Adding leaderboards and rewards risked making the platform feel less credible.
We iterated multiple times to ensure the experience remained engaging but professional.
Accessibility & Multilingual Implementation
Implementing accessibility and internationalization within the limited hackathon timeline was challenging.
Features implemented:
- Screen reader support
- High contrast UI
- ARIA labels
- Multilingual support using i18n
