The problem Realty solves

Realty is an integration of Blockchain and Web Development to build a real estate project that can help eliminate middlemen brokerage by creating a decentralized system for buying and selling of houses that allows for transparent and secure transactions between buyers and sellers.
We have built a web application that interacts with smart contracts and the blockchain platform ETHEREUM. This application provides a user interface for buyers and sellers to view properties, make offers, and execute transactions.We have utilised the payment gateway MATIC to integrate payment processing into our web application.By integrating blockchain and web development, we have created a secure and transparent real estate platform that eliminates the need for intermediaries and reduces transaction costs.
All transactions are recorded on a public ledger, making the process more transparent via Blockchain.By eliminating intermediaries like brokers and agents, the costs associated with buying and selling real estate can be reduced making the process more affordable for the buyers.By using a web-based platform, this project can be made accessible to a wider audience, including people in remote locations which can help increase the pool of potential buyers and sellers, making the market more efficient.

Challenges we ran into

1. We faced challenges while integrating front end with back end. Especially when we had to connect javascript with solidity.
2. We also faced issues while inculcating express js for including IPFS to mint nft.
3. We also were participating in a hackathon for the first time and we faced some issues while collaborating with the teammates although it was a worth while experience. It was hard integrating front-end with the back end as we had few teammates work on the backend and the other on the frontend, this collaboration was specifically hard but we can say that we worked through it.
